Vasanthabalan's Kaaviya Thalaivan is tax free
Kaaviya Thalaivan, which is set to hit the screens on November 28, has now got entertainment tax exemption from the state government. The film with a U certificate is produced by S Sashikanth and Varun Manian. The theatres in the state mostly prefer tax free movies and therefore, Kaaviya Thalaivan's tax exemption is a good development for the film.
The movie directed by Vasanthabalan is a period film that focuses on Tamil theatre that was popular in Madurai in 1940s. Siddharth, Prithviraj, Vedhika and Nasser plays prominent roles in the movie, whereas its music is done by AR Rahman.
The movie is set to release in 300 screens across Tamil Nadu, despite six other small budget movies releasing on the same day.
