THE REAL HERO SIDDHARTH TALKS!!!
It is that time in Chennai when reel heroes turned real heroes for a cause. The Chennai rains led to heavy flooding of water in and around the city; many names from K-Town have extended unconditional support and relief for the victims at this time of vast need. Actor Siddharth is one of the epicentric names that drove a wide movement of emergency relief in the past week along with RJ Balaji.
Siddharth was spotted addressing the media for the first time yesterday, 7th December and here is an excerpt from his note.
“I started doing this may be because I freaked out as I lost my house for the first time in my entire life. There are a lot of people who are doing a great job and all this heroism build-up makes me uncomfortable.
We are definitely taking this movement forward by planning out means to rehabilitate people. I feel social media was put to best use for this cause and we will continue to use it efficiently for our future plans. We understand there are both boons and banes attached to social media and we would like to thank the good things it has done.
There is no need to politicise this situation. I feel no state government of our country could have washed away all the damages in a sprint because this is a calamity of epic proportion. I personally do not have any complaints about how our administration has handled the situation.
I am overwhelmed by the manner the youth of Tamil Nadu and the country have reciprocated to this situation.”
Siddharth has returned to Chennai after extending some ground support to the flood affected hamlets of Cuddalore district. This whole attitude of reel heroes turning real gives us a sense of satisfaction, after all they are heroes discovered and celebrated by us, the audience.
"Don’t politicize the Chennai floods" - Siddarth
"I lost my home, three studios and my cars are drowned in waters. I could feel the pain of how it is to lose something you own due to natural calamity and instantly stepped in to make sure that pains of others are shared," said Siddarth while speaking to few media channels during the flood relief mission. Actor Siddarth made it a point of reaching many across the city and other parts of Cuddalore to revive the situation and pleaded everyone in the media and other circles not to politicize this issue. "This is the moment to recover and revive the city and bring back things to normalcy," totted up Siddarth.
Cuddalore Is Neither Drowning Nor Starving, Do Not Comment From Outside: Siddharth
Actor Siddharth, who visited the Cuddalore district to offer help, has confirmed that the place is far from drowning, as claimed by many on social media. It was earlier alleged that Cuddalore is the worst hit area in the whole of Tamil Nadu and that people living there are left unattended.
"We went to 15 villages. Many of these were described as drowning, starving, and unserviced on social media. Not true. Do not comment on Cuddalore from outside. There are places that are struggling. Do not confuse relief work. Be concerned. Not dramatic," Siddharth wrote on his social media page. He also requested volunteers to help Cuddalore by sending blankets and mosquito coils. "Send bedding, blankets, and mosquito coil. Send smaller trucks that can go on kuchha roads and identify groups that are addressing the hard to reach hamlets. Prioritize small villages away from main road and do not use relief labels or banners on trucks as they will be attacked," he said. The actor is also vigorously working on getting Cuddalore back on its feet. He said, "I said cuddalore needs help. It's just not the disaster zone people are making it out to be. We have an action plan for Cuddalore. Let's be sensible, efficient and realistic about how to help the people of #Cuddalore".
Actor Siddharth confessed he was alarmed
The floods of Tamil Nadu has definitely caused more disaster and has brought pain to lots of people. But still the floods united every one else as there were lots of NGO's who work round the clock and took part in rescue operations.
Among the celebrities, it was Siddharth who first initiated the rescue operation. He joined hands with R.J.Balaji and started the work. He finally gave an interview to a leading news channel.
He said, "I was completely shattered as I lost my house for the first time. Three Studios, Three Cars were gone. And that is the moment I felt bad for the middle class who lost so much in just one day. The electricity came back just last evening. The silver lining during this floods was, we had more volunteers than victims. Thanks to Social media.
Social media has been both boon as well as bane. For instance one person sends a message that they need 5000 water bottles. The same message got repeated after 6 days where they don't need water."
Real life hero Sidharth talks about Chennai flood
The names of Sidharth and R J Balaji were shining bright during the time of Chennai floods, as both these film personalities came forward to the fore front and helped Chennai people to overcome the situation. Sidharth has been busy helping the Cuddallore people for the past few days, and now he is back in Chennai.
Recently, he talked to the media and made it clear that there is no need of heroism buildup on his acts, as it makes him uncomfortable. The actor added that there are umpteen numbers of people who did daring deeds during the time of floods, and they deserve applause from heart.
"We are definitely taking this movement forward by planning out means to rehabilitate people. I feel social media was put to best use for this cause and we will continue to use it efficiently for our future plans. We understand there are both boons and banes attached to social media and we would like to thank the good things it has done", said Sidharth.
The actor also added that he do not have any complaints about the way in which Government authorities have handled the situation. Sidharth also lauded the youth in the city for their pro active response during the time of flood.
Chennai: Reports of flood 'exaggerated', says Tollywood (?!) actor Siddharth
Chennai, Dec 8: Tollywood actor Siddharth claimed that many reports on the current situation of massive flood-hit Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu have been exaggerated. Siddharth, who has been at the forefront of relief work at an individual and volunteer level, visited rain-hit Cuddalore district and requested people not to spread rumours.
Siddharth The Tollywood actor urged all people to act like a 'concerned', rather than act dramatic. He further added that Cuddalore needs help, not panic. "Send bedding, blankets, and mosquito coil. Send smaller trucks that can go on kuchha roads and identify groups that are addressing the hard-to-reach hamlets.
