The shoot of Aranmanai 2 has been proceeding at a brisk pace. After canning some scenes in Chennai and Kumbakonam, the team has headed to Pollachi to shoot some important sequences. 

A source close to the team says, "A huge set worth ` 70 lakhs has been erected in the city and Sundar C has been shooting continuously there for the past few weeks. Then they canned a portion of the film in Kumbakonam for about 10 days and currently they are shooting in Pollachi."

The source adds, "Two songs will be shot abroad and the place is yet to be finalised. Once they finish the talkie portions, they will head to an exotic location." The film, which has Siddharth, Hansika and Trisha in the lead, also has Soori in an important role.
